New digital platform for office optimization

LINK Arkitektur has developed a new digital planning tool, Agiliate, which can optimize office space and support the hybrid working life. Now the digital platform has received DKK 500,000 in support from Realdania for further development and establishment as a web-based tool with an open-source approach.

Under the heading 'RESPOND - the framework for the new everyday life', Realdania has been on the lookout for new ideas and solutions that arose during the pandemic's shutdowns and restrictions, which in the future can contribute to creating a more robust built environment and thus increase the quality of life.

Now nine innovative ideas from the corona era have received support, and one of the projects is LINK Architecture's digital platform, Agiliate, which has just received DKK 500,000 from Realdania for further development and establishment as a web-based platform.

Agiliate is an effective planning tool that helps tenants, owners and developers of office buildings organize and improve the utilization of office space.

The Classic office landscape is undergoing significant change. More employees work from home, and this challenges both the sense of corporate culture and leaves expensive, unused office square meters. Here, Agiliate helps to define how a workplace can most appropriately support the hybrid working life through the allocation and utilization of office space. If we are to solve tomorrow's challenges, it requires collaboration across disciplines, companies and industries. Agiliate will therefore be developed as an open source tool

Through a digital participation process, both the current working situation and tomorrow's needs among the employees are mapped. Subsequently, the digital platform generates a number of different scenarios and proposals for how the office space can best support collaboration on a daily basis and optimizes the company's way of arranging itself.

It is about working smarter by mapping the employees' work processes, collaboration and use of technology, time and place, in order to find the most appropriate way to handle tasks.

The office of the future is not about the number of desks, but about ensuring efficient use of one's square meters, which can support the right types of collaboration spaces and social functions in the workplace. Here, Agiliate can both be used to optimize office space and create a better and more flexible framework for employees' daily work
