AEC Hackathon

We spend last weekend together with my teammates from LINK IO 🖤 This was the first time ever we all met physically. It was fantastic – what a cool bunch! We went to the AEC Hackathon at BLOXHUB in Copenhagen to hack and collaborate with other developers and designers from the AEC industry. We pitched two different problems:
1.      A PDF writer for Grasshopper – Pdf ++
2.      A Speckle LCA APP thar connects to LCA Byg’s API to do early phase LCA calculations

Team Pdf ++, which consisted of Mathias Sønderskov Schaltz, Julie Corneliusen, Oscar Magnusson, You-Wei Yen, and Mikael Spinnangr, won the "best hack from the past event" award for their PDF writer for Grasshopper. Congratulations!

Team Speckle LCA APP, which consisted of Andrei-Florin Magureanu, Ann-Britt Vejlgaard, Ashkan R., Bjørn-Tore Johannesen, Daniel Hoang, Fabian Sellberg, Joel López, Mateusz Płoszaj-Mazurek, Povl Filip Sonne-Frederiksen, Renata Portelada and me, took the IO Guesstimator, a Speckle app we developed in LINK IO over the past year, as a starting point and connected it to #LCABYG's API to do early phase LCA calculations. We also added additional visualization charts and a smoother geometry pipeline in Speckle. In connection with the use of our in-house developed Speckle App IO Guesstimator, we decided to open-source that project. You can find the GitHub repository here: https://lnkd.in/esQ58f46

We would like to invite anyone interested to a short online meeting about the future development of the app. It would be fantastic to further develop this project together. We'll be posting more information later this week, so keep an eye out for that.
